Corporate Volunteers
Are you looking for ways you can support NSW SES & your local community?
NSW SES partners with organisations who can support us during large scale weather events.
Whether your organisation has people with skills in finance, information technology, human resources or customer service, the NSW SES can find a role to best utilise your staff and apply their strengths in a disaster environment.
You can support us by getting involved in NSW SES operational response and activities with your resources – working collaboratively we can make a positive impact on the local community.

What can corporate volunteers do?
Corporate volunteers with the NSW SES have the opportunity to take part in an array of diverse and exciting emergency roles including:
Storm and flood preparation and response: helping people prepare for storms and floods, assisting in the resupply of isolated communities and protecting properties from flooding.
Technology: using technology and communications equipment to equip volunteers during emergencies.
Media and Community engagement: communicating safety messages and warning to the community via selected media channels to help raise awareness of the NSW SES and working with your community to help build local resilience to flood, storm and tsunami.
Operational support: supporting the activities of teams in the field through roles such as administration, data entry, communication and catering.
Logistics: helping to plan how to acquire, distribute and use resources during emergencies.
Your existing skills: whether your team has skills in finance, information technology, human resources or customer service, the NSW SES can find a role to best utilise your staff and apply their strengths in a disaster environment.
Learn new skills
The NSW SES is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) with qualified trainers and assessors. NSW SES offers its volunteers the opportunity to participate in a wide range of nationally accredited courses.
The skills your employees learn can give them competencies that can lead towards various nationally recognised qualifications.
As well as providing your employees with challenges and the opportunity to learn new skills, your NSW SES experience will give your organisation a new perspective about your community.
How does my business get involved?
The first step is to speak with our Volunteer Experience team to discuss how we can work together. Please email us at experience@ses.nsw.gov.au and we will be in touch.
How do I get involved?
Thank you for your interest in becoming a corporate volunteer with the NSW SES. Further to the current COVID-19 response, NSW SES units are continuing to operate as close to normal as possible – including responding to calls for assistance from the community. At this time we are not accepting applications from individual corporate volunteers, however if your organisation would like to learn more about corporate volunteering opportunities with the NSW SES, please contact corporate@ses.nsw.gov.au.
