Response times to calls for assistance vary according to the volume of calls received, the number of volunteers available and the length of time requests for assistance ahead of you take to complete. While the NSW SES endeavours to assist community members in the shortest possible time, extended delays in responding may occur. Thank you for your patience.

Did you know up to a third of storm and heavy rain related requests we receive are preventable? Help reduce unnecessary calls by cleaning gutters and downpipes, securing or putting away loose items from yards and balconies, trimming back overhanging branches and ensuring your roof is in good repair.

Images sent to the NSW SES via social media or email will be used by NSW SES for the purpose of improving information about floods and storms emergencies. Advertising Compliance Certificate
Advertising campaigns between $250,000 and $1 million require advertising compliance certificates, and must be publicly available and on the agency's website. You can learn more about this here
The compliance certificate is a short statement signed by the head of your agency that confirms the government advertising campaign:
- complies with the Act, Regulation and advertising guidelines (PDF, 72.38 KB)
- contains accurate information
- is necessary to achieve a public purpose and is supported by analysis and research
- is an efficient and cost-effective means of achieving the public purpose.
